Legal55 pricing is based on the value created, proportional to the number of timekeepers who have access to Legal55 as a reference or a time entry system. As a result, Legal55 is very affordable, especially in comparison with the recovered billable hours.

Legal55 value and therefore pricing is based on the number of billable timekeepers to which it is assigned.

The pricing is an annual package that includes both license to use the software, as well as premier support and upgrades as available.
The pricing is based on a descending marginal schedule (on right, click to enlarge), such that the second fifty licenses are at a lower unit price point than the first fifty and so on. In this way we hope to encourage wider deployment, to give everyone the advantages of automatic time capture.
But even a small deployment generates a multiple on the investment early in the first year of deployment.

For larger law firms, we offer a significant discount from the per-timekeeper fee if they simply license firm-wide, which allows deployment to all billable timekeepers in the firm. For many firms, this is the equivalent of 20-40% of their timekeepers getting Legal55 for free.

We offer this discount to encourage wide deployment, so the firm can get a lot of value. It also means that we do not worry about how many timekeepers are deployed, and if the firm grows in the course of the year, Legal55 can be deployed without additional fees. On the renewal date, the enterprise license fee is re-assessed based on the number of billable timekeepers at the firm.

Service to make the installation and deployment a simple affair for your staff and immediate value for the attorneys is covered by a moderate installation fee. The fee includes the provisioning of a network appliance owned by Element55, which is maintained for as long as license and support are kept up to ensure that everyone is capturing as much time as possible. This fee is small compared to other “professional service” components of pricing, and is based on the number of network appliances that need to be deployed (which in turn depends on the phone system.)
