Element55 Webinar-A-Thon Raises Funds for Cancer Research

April 3, 2006

Cambridge, MA - Element55 announced the successful first fortnight of the innovative Webinar-A-Thon to Fight Cancer, raising $500 in the inaugural two weeks of the program.

The Webinar-A-Thon to Fight Cancer was a two-week series of live demonstration presentations introducing law firms and legal departments to automatic time capture. For each participant in a “webinar” phone-and-web demonstration session of 20-25 minutes, Element55 made a donation to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, the leading research and treatment institution for pediatric and adult cancer.

Element55 CEO Ray Deck said, “This program allowed Element55 to raise money for this amazing institution while raising awareness of automatic time capture for the legal technology community. There is no better definition of win-win in my book.”

On the basis of this initial success, Element55 is extending the webinar-a-thon for the remainder of 2006. Contributions will be made for each participant in scheduled introductory phone-and-web sessions.

Said Deck, “If this is what we can raise in two weeks, imagine the good we can do in nine months. We’re looking forward to making this fundraising effort an integral part of our business this year.”
