Announcing the Element55 Webinar-A-Thon to Fight Cancer

March 8, 2006

Element55 is proud to announce a first: a Webinar-A-Thon to fight cancer.

Every day 3,000 Americans are diagnosed with cancer – from children to the elderly. All of us know someone with the disease – a relative, a spouse, a friend. The founders of Element55 have a front-row seat for the disease of our century, and have sought a way to contribute to the fight from our vantage as a growing software company.

Help Us Contribute

So in lieu of spending marketing dollars mailing unwanted coffee mugs, clothing or other “chotchkes” to spread the word about automatic time capture, we’re offering this for the second half of March: join us for a 25-minute conversation at the time of your choosing (you can always leave after the first few minutes if it’s not for you), and we will make a $25 donation in your name to the Jimmy Fund, the charity arm of the world-renowned Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

You will receive a card informing you of your contribution to the fight against this scourge. How much more valuable and well spent is that money instead of a custom-printed size XL t-shirt?

A webinar means you can view zero click time capture in action, from your desk, laptop, or home with only a computer, web connection and your phone. In a short demonstration, and Q&A, you can learn more about how your firm can capture additional hours than a five-page white paper.

A webinar is best in a small group where people can ask questions and interact, so we will be holding a number of sessions in the latter half of March. We’re happy to hold sessions from one to ten people, so we have made a number of slots available, with an option to pick your own, and bring more staff and attorneys who would be interested.

Who Can Join?

Anyone who is in the target demographic of this email (i.e. part of a firm that employs 20 or more billable timekeepers) may participate in this event (we are preparing a product targeted at the smaller firms, so bear with us).

Do Well By Doing Good

This is an experiment in which we are trying to cut the clutter that crosses your desk while simultaneously helping a good cause in which we have a personal stake.

Please join us at a webinar to learn about automatic time capture, raise money for cancer research and treatment, and to teach us that the best way to do well is to do good.

We also encourage you to donate directly to the Jimmy Fund.

Element55 Joins BlackBerry ISV Alliance Program to Deliver Zero Click Time Capture to Legal Professionals

March 7, 2006

March 7, 2006 - Cambridge, MA - Element55, creator of automatic time capture software Legal55, today announced that the company has joined the BlackBerry® ISV Alliance Program and is offering Legal55 Handheld edition to users of BlackBerry, from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM).
Said Element55 CEO Ray Deck, “This alliance solidifies Element55’s commitment to providing software to automatically capture billable hours for professionals, wherever they are, without a single click.”

Legal55 Handheld Edition for BlackBerry, launched in 2005, runs in the background to track time spent on incoming and outgoing emails, as well as phone calls made on voice-capable BlackBerry devices. Time entries based on individual activities are sent to the attorney’s private timesheet over BlackBerry Enterprise Server™.

Time can be managed on BlackBerry using a special version of the intuitive, drag-and-drop based interface familiar to users of the Legal55 Time Capture System, or at their desk, before committing time to be posted to billing.
Users of Legal55 Enterprise Edition can manage time captured from desktop applications and the office phone on their BlackBerry, or manage time captured on the BlackBerry at their workstation. All time is captured and organized into a single, activity-based timesheet for review without having to start or stop a clock.

We will now display the alliance logo on our materials related to zero-click time on the BlackBerry:
