Element55 and AIRTIME-Management form Alliance to Capture More Billable Hours on Mobile Devices

February 26, 2006

February 27, 2006 - Cambridge, MA - Element55, creator of automatic time capture software Legal55, and Airtime Management, makers of AIRTIME For Professionals (A4P®) software, today announced an alliance to enhance time capture across the attorney’s day. Said Element55 CEO Ray Deck, “this alliance solidifies Element55’s commitment to automatically capturing billable hours for legal professionals, wherever they are, without a single click.”
With A4P, attorneys can accurately capture billable time and client information using their BlackBerry® or Palm® Treo® wireless device. Calls, emails and other billable time recorded are automatically captured using A4P prompts. This time is integrated with time Legal55 captures related to the office phone, emails, documents, scheduled and unscheduled meetings, and other activities. The user can then manage his or her timesheet at his or her convenience, and decide which information to submit to accounting systems like Elite and CMS.

While Legal55 accounts for the attorney’s universe of time, A4P intelligently recovers their time spent outside the office. “Airtime is focused on being the mobile time and expense capture service of choice,” according to Kirk Fackre, Airtime’s director of strategic alliances. “Billable hours are passed to the attorney’s timesheet and wireless costs sent to the firm’s time and billing system. Taken together, Legal55 and A4P provide seamless, end-to-end time and expense management for today’s attorney.”

Element55 and MA3000 form Technical Alliance

February 8, 2006

Element55, creator of automatic time capture software Legal55, and American Lawyer Media, makers of MA3000, today announced an alliance to bring automatic time capture to the offices managing docketing and court dates. Said Element55 CEO Ray Deck, “this alliance solidifies Element55’s commitment to providing software to automatically capture billable hours for legal professionals, wherever they are, without a single click.”

Users of MA3000 who have Legal55 running on their computers can have their time spent working on cases in MA3000 tracked to their timesheet automatically, capturing both the activity (docketing, calendaring, reviewing etc) and the case. This time is captured to a private timesheet without any work on the part of the user. The user can then manage his or her timesheet later on, and decide which information to submit to accounting systems like Elite and CMS.

“This combination makes it easy to track docketing and calendaring time in the Managing Attorney’s office, which can turn that office into a revenue center and allows for more accurate and complete billing,” said MA3000 Director Michael Hochberger.
