News: Legal55 5.0 Released

September 15, 2004 - Cambridge, MA - eGlean, Inc., a developer
of time management systems for attorneys and legal professionals,
announces the release of Version 5.0 for its flagship Legal55 automatic
time capture software program. Over a dozen new features have been
added to Legal55, each focusing on ease of use, enhanced productivity
and connectivity with other popular applications used by the legal
industry.

us how we can further improve the time collection process in their

that we can and will meet their changing needs and requirements."
User interface improvements make the software integrate even more
seamlessly into workflow. Highlights include:
- Spell checking for entries, including the option to check all
entries before submitting.
- Temporary Matters: attorneys capture time into matters representing
clients or matters not yet in the accounting system , then assign
them all to the appropriate matter with a single click
- Goal Management: attorneys set goals for time captured for certain
clients, matters or for billable hours overall, by day, month
or year.
The new release has several new features to improve the capture
of time, including:
- Enhanced integration with document management systems. Time
spent on documents registered in the document management system
as being associated with a specific client and matter will automatically
show up under that client and matter.
- Integration with InterAction: Phone calls and emails corresponding
with contacts entered in an InterAction contact management system
now show the name (e.g. "Ray Deck") instead of just
the number (e.g. "(617)423-0692")
Legal55 automatically records the amount of time spent working
with clients without the attorney having to start or stop a clock.
This automation significantly increases the accuracy of timesheets
and reduces the amount of time spent completing them. It tracks
activities on documents, emails and phone calls in the background
and fills in the electronic timesheet as appropriate. The net result
is more hours captured and attributed to the correct client and
matter, without forcing the legal professional to change his or
her work habits. Legal 55's unique design complements a firm's existing
time and billing system, ensuring that billable time that might
otherwise be missed is accurately captured and made available for
export and subsequent billing to clients. [See
